ECONOMICS KNOWLEDGE AS A PARADIGM OF SUSTAINABLE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMICS AND SOCIETY

Abstract


In the article the historical preconditions of the development of knowledge economy and its influence on the formation of the concept of sustainable development of economy and society as a paradigm of modern development are considered. The process of the origin and formation of the knowledge economy as a science in which the information plays the primary role and knowledge acquired on the basis of it are studied. The basis of such an economy is the creation, dissemination and use of knowledge to ensure its sustainable development and competitiveness. The essence of the concept of a post-industrial society in which the main priority in the economy has been transferred from the production of goods to the provision of services, research, organization of the education system and the improvement of the quality of life, as well as the contribution of its main representatives (F. Mahlup, T. Umesoa, M. Porat , J. Masud, R. Katz) in the development of this concept. In accordance with this concept, the production, distribution and consumption of information is considered as the predominant sphere of economic activity of society, the role and importance of industry is objectively reduced. The content of the concept of the information society, according to which in society is characterized by a large volume of qualitative information and various means of its distribution, is determined, and its influence on the formation of the concept of knowledge economy is explored. The main stages of formation of the knowledge economy and the influence of the theory of human capital and the theory of intellectual capital on the formation of the knowledge economy have been analyzed. The process of origin and formation of the concept of sustainable development of society is considered, under which development is possible only on the condition of solving economic, social and environmental problems. The emergence of the concept of "sustainable development" and its characteristics are considered. The basic historical stages that influenced formation and formation of the concept of sustainable development of economy and society were determined. The necessity of research of sustainable development of subjects of economic relations on the basis of knowledge economy is substantiated.
